The Malta Tourism Authority's German office has set about to promote the Maltese Islands via public transport in the capital throughout 2016.
MTA Germany brings Maltese warmth and sunshine for the Berliners Until the month of December Berlin public transport double-decker busses will bring a sunny Malta mood to Germany's wintry capital.
The Malta Tourism Authority's office in Germany arranged for the decoration of the buses, showing appealing Gozo, Malta and Comino holiday scenes as well as attractive Berlin flight offers by Air Malta and Ryanair.
The Malta buses will operate and be visible on various routes across the vast city of Berlin – which has 3.5 mio. citizens on an area of more than 890 square kilometres, making it Germany's largest city.
The operation period of the busses also includes the ITB fair dates from 09th-13th March – world's leading tourism fair attracting an average of over 160,000 visitors per year.
MTA Germany accompanies this creative marketing approach with a "bus spotting" competition on its German Facebook page: Malta Facebook fans can send in their bus photo, once spotted, and win a great hamper with Maltese and Gozitan goodies.
