On Friday, the Malta IT Agency (MITA) in collaboration with the Department of Curriculum Management launched two digital serious games and showcased a third game.

These games were developed at the MITA Innovation Hub with the intention of being used as learning tools by teachers during their lesson with their students.

During the launch, teachers had the opportunity to participate and acquire first-hand experience of the games by playing them and sharing their thoughts on how these could be utilised in the classroom as part of the lesson plan.

32 teachers attended the launch which was organised at the MITA Data Centre.Game Based Learning: Digital games for use by teachers with studentsStaterra allows the player to explore predator-prey relationships within different habitats, paying particular focus to the ecosystem as a whole.
