Rothwell Temperance Band, the 2015 Grand Shield Champions will be on tour in Gozo and Malta in April. Rothwell Temperance Band are a Championship Section brass band based in Rothwell, near Leeds, in the North of England.

The present Rothwell Temperance Band was formed in 1984 as the junior band to the existing Temperance Band. In 1989, with a full compliment of players and new instruments, they were able to enter competitions as the Rothwell Temperance B Band. In 1991 they qualified for the National Finals in the Fourth Section and gained second place. In the same year, the senior band gained sponsorship, changing their name to match their new sponsor.

The B Band then dropped the B and adopted the Rothwell Temperance Band name. In 1994, after having been promoted to the third section, they won the Yorkshire Championship and went on to compete in the National Finals in London gaining second place. Since then they have won many contests around the world.

They can be seen in concert in Gozo and Malta at the following venues:
