A new creative writing competition is being organised by Gozo Live in conjunction with Gozo College. All students at schools and colleges in Gozo are invited to enter this new creative writing event.

Entrants can write a story, an essay, a poem or even a short play but whatever is produced needs to be fresh and original. Even if the topic chosen is a mundane one like 'My Dog,' or My Holiday,' the approach must be different and totally engrossing to the reader.

"Does this sound difficult? Not really. We all have original ideas but sometimes are hesitant to express them – now this event gives you the opportunity."

The organisers are looking for those people who will be the writers of the future whether this is an author, a playwright, a journalist, a scriptwriter, a blog writer or whatever else. "We have several leading publishers in Malta interested in the outcome of this event. Winners may well get their start in a future writing career," said Gozo Live.

There is still time to get your entry in, the closing date is the 30th of March, so now is the time to get to work. Gozo Live and Gozo College will also be running their writing participation this year with the closing date in mid-October.
