Xewkija Local Council has announced that resurfacing and piping works in the village on Triq it-Torri Tinghi and Triq San Zakkarija, have now entered in their last stages as the first surface of asphalt has been laid.

The Council said that these works are expected to be completed within the next weeks.

A new water culvert has also been installed in the junction between Triq Santa Teodora and Triq it-Torri Tinghi, which, the Council said, will finally put an end to the waterlogging in this area of the village.
