BirdLife Malta has organised a beautiful walk along the coastline on Gozo. The walk is around 3-4 hours from the ferry terminal to San Blas, a lovely secluded beach.

The path is difficult at times, with a few steep uphill climbs and will require some scrambling so be prepared with appropriate footwear. There is also an opportunity to spend some time at the beach at the end if you would like to.

For residents of Gozo, please meet at the exit door of the Mgarr ferry terminal at 9.20am.

Those travelling from Malta will meet at the Cirkewwa Ferry Terminal between 8.30 and 8.50 to catch the 9am ferry to Gozo. "The ferry leaves at 9am so make sure you are there within plenty of time," BLM said.

The cost of the ferry is €4.65. This is a one way walk so walkers will need to catch a bus back to the ferry terminal on Gozo at the end, or for local residents, to their end destination.This will be a full day out, especially if you choose to spend time at the beach at the end. So make sure you are prepared with at least 1 litre of water, plenty of food to keep you going, and comfortable clothing.
