The popular, annual event – Fiera tad-Dwejra – takes place next weekend, attracting many hundreds of visitors, not only the residents of the village of San Lawrenz, but also many Gozitans, Maltese and tourists.

Fiera tad-Dwejra fair, is taking place next Sunday, the 17th of April, from 11.00am onwards and is known as the traditional Fair of the Gozitans. During the past years the fair has become more and more popular, and involves almost all the residents of the locality.

The Festa committee responsible for external activities and also for the event, starts its preparations months before the staging of the fair.

Preparations for this annual fair are now at their peak. As in previous years, the fair offers entertainment for all the family.

Together with the usual games, such as the lotteries for gifts for the home, their will also be action activities such as paint ball and a zip-line. Other games aimed for the youngsters, will include the balloon game, the soft toys game, to name but a few.

There will also be a plant and herb stand with items for sale.

The committee involved in the organisation of the Fair said that it strives every year to come up with different sorts of games for all the family, so that all those who visit Dwejra will find entertainment that appeals to all ages.

Everyone is warmly welcome to visit the fair and enjoy the lovely environment of this unique bay.

Organised parking will be available for the convenience of the visitors, or there is public transport from the Victoria Bus Terminus, bus number 311. In case of bad weather the Fair will take place on Sunday, the 24th of April.
