Seasonally adjusted industrial production increased by 1.5 per cent in February over the previous month. When compared to February 2015, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went down by 4.1 per cent, the National Statistics Office said today.

In February, the seasonally adjusted index of industrial production increased by 1.5 per cent to 95.3. Increases were registered in the production of consumer goods (3.4 per cent), intermediate goods (2.5 per cent), and capital goods (0.1 per cent). On the other hand, the production of energy went down by 0.5 per cent.

When compared to the corresponding month of 2015, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went down by 4.1 per cent. Decreases were registered in the production of intermediate goods (6.9 per cent), consumer goods (5.0 per cent) and energy (0.8 per cent). On the other hand, the production of capital goods went up by 1.3 per cent.
