The San Lawrenz Local Council launched a new initiative on Sunday, aimed at students and young people to encourage them to be innovative and create jobs.

In a meeting held at the Parish Centre, local youth received information and had the opportunity to voice their thoughts on this new idea.

The San Lawrenz Mayor Noel Formosa, gave a short address and urged the young people present to be more innovative in job creation.

Other speakers who took part were representatives from the Ministry of Education and Employment, as well as the ETC, a young entrepreneur from the village and a Gozitan expert in the business field.

Further such meetings are planned for the future.
