A 44-year old man was grievously injured after he fell around 15 feet from scaffolding in Triq il-Kalandrijiet, Kercem.
The accident happened just before 1.00am this morning, when the man fell while he was trying to put out a fire caused by ground fireworks, Police said.
The man was taken to Gozo General Hospital where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.
Police investigations are still on-going.
Perhaps an accident waiting to happen, ground fireworks can be dangerous, I assume that a fireman was in attendance to deal with any outbreaks of fire? I wish the poor man a speedy recovery.
