The very popular Opera vs Pop Under the Stars, which is now in its 9th year, is taking place on Monday, the 1st of August, presented by the Gozo Youth Orchestra in collaboration with the Ministry for Gozo and Embassy of the United States of America.

The concert will feature Soprano Pamela Agius (New York), Bass Noel Galea (Gozo) and Pop Singer Francesco Joseph Nicodeme (Italy) together with Gozitan and Maltese singers and musicians.

The programme will include classical and operatic songs and arias, followed by an array of lighter pop arrangements from soundtracks and musicals.

The Orchestra will be under the direction of Founder and Music Director Mro Joseph Grech.

This year German youth orchestra players are joining forces with The Gozo Youth Orchestra to present a memorable evening in the midst of the Festa season.

The Concert is being held in the setting of the Courtyard within the Ministry for Gozo St Francis Square, Victoria, starting at 8.30pm. Patrons are kindly requested to be seated 15 minutes prior to the start.
