A 66-year-old woman Pieta, who was airlifted by the Armed Forces of Malta to the Gozo General Hospital this afternoon, has unfortunately lost her life.
The woman was injured after allegedly falling on a boat that was anchored in Comino earlier today, Police said.
The AFM's Rescue Coordination Centre launched an Alouette III Helicopter and the Melita II SAR boat to aid the woman and transferred her to Gozo General Hospital for further treatment.
A Magisterial Inquiry has been appointed, with an autopsy to be carried out to help determine the cause of death.
