The Malta Union of Midwives & Nurses said that it has attained the "sole recognition of the Physiotherapists employed within the Public Service."

The Union said that the absolute majority of the Physiotherapists have joined MUMN during the last months expressing their full confidence in MUMN.

"This achievement further consolidates MUMN's presence in the health sector especially during its 20th Anniversary celebrations from its foundation," it said.

MUMN said that it is committed to work towards furthering the standards and working conditions of this profession. Adding that, it will strive to establish more confidence among these professionals "as the physiotherapy profession is one of the leading professions within the multidisciplinary team taking care of our patients."

"MUMN will now be holding meetings with all relevant Authorities so as to discuss its objectives and the way forward to better the working conditions and salary of its members," it said.
