This weekend, Nadur will be celebrating the feast of San Koronato at St Peter and St Paul Basilica.
On Saturday the 12th of November, eve of the feast at 6.00pm, there will be a Mass led by Mons Pawlu Cremona O.P. and the Nadur clergy at the Basilica.
Then at 8.00pm, at the MBC Theatre, the Mnarja Band will present a concert – Big Band Adventures – under the direction of Mro. Joseph Grech. This will be followed by the award ceremony of 'Gieh in-Nadur,' which is to be presented by the Local Council to Charlton Debono. Entrance to the concert is free of charge.
On Sunday the 13th of November, the official feast day, there will be a Pontifical Mass led by H.E. Mons Mario Grech at 9.15am, followed by a march with the Mnarja Band. In the afternoon at 4.30pm, there will be a procession with the statue of the Saint, followed by a march with the Mnarja Band.
On the eve of and day of the Feast, residents living in streets that the procession passes through are requested to light red candles in their windows.
