The Minister for Gozo, Anton Refalo has presented a contribution of €10,000 to Nature Trust (Malta), as part of an agreement signed between the Ministry for Gozo and NTM, to collaborate on environmental and sustainability programmes.

The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) programmes run by NTM – EkoSkola, YRE (Young Reporters for the Environment) and LEAF (Learning about Forests) are becoming very beneficial among Gozitan students, the Ministry said.

These programmes also serve as a key tool in passing messages regarding the environment back into Gozitan and Maltese family homes, said Dr Refalo.

The Ministry for Gozo through the Directorate for Eco-Gozo, is giving €10,000 in support of projects in Gozo schools chosen to participate in these programmes.

The programme will benefit more than 3,600 students from 17 primary and secondary schools, as well as the Sixth Form .
