A young man was grievously injured in an accident earlier today, after he lost control of the vehicle he was driving and ended up in a valley.
Police said that the incident happened at about 10.30am on Triq l-Ghejun, Xaghra. The 19 year old driver was in a Suzuki Samurai when he lost control, dropping down into Wied tar-Ramla.
Members of the Civil Protection Department assisted on site. The man was taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.
Police investigation are ongoing.
