Industrial production in March went down 0.8% – NSO

The National Statistics Office has said that seasonally adjusted industrial production in March decreased by 0.8 per cent over the previous month. When compared to the last year, the index of industrial production adjusted for working days went up by 4.4 per cent.
It noted that decreases were registered in the production of consumer goods (2.0 per cent) and capital goods (0.4 per cent). The production of energy and intermediate goods went up by 2.5 and 0.5 per cent respectively.
The index of industrial production adjusted for working days compared to last year, went up by 4.4 per cent. The NSO added that increases were registered in the production of consumer goods (6.9 per cent), energy (6.1 per cent) and intermediate goods (4.5 per cent). The production of capital goods went down by 0.4 per cent.
