Air Malta has said that over 12,000 passengers travelled on Air Malta last weekend, in what the airline described as “a record 48 hours performance, far superior to any results from these past years.”
It said that in just two days (Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th ) the airline operated over 80 flights achieving an average seat load factor of 93%.
“This is a great achievement by all our staff and especially in the areas of commercial and operations! It was our best weekend over the last two years surpassing even mid-August figures of the past two years which are usually the airline’s best performing perio,” commented Paul Sies, Chief Commercial Officer at Air Malta.
He added that, “this performance is even more significant particularly when we note that it surpassed our performance two years ago when we operated with two more aircraft and there is more competition from other airlines on our more popular routes. There is no doubt that Air Malta plays a crucial and essential role in providing air connectivity to and from the Maltese islands.”
Air Malta thanked all its employees for contributing to sell these seats and front-liners who helped servicing its guests.
