The National Blood Transfusion Service is issuing another call for blood, with the need to achieve around 50 blood donations a day to continue to provide enough blood for those in need, and the blood reserve is decreasing.

Another session will therefore be held this coming Sunday, the 17th of September, between 8.00am and 1.00pm, when blood can be donated at the Outpatients Department of the Gozo General Hospital, Please also encourage others to donate if possible.

It is important that before you go to donate blood to drink a substantial amount of water, and take your ID card, driving license or Maltese passport.
