The National Blood Transfusion Service is still in urgent need of blood as a consequence of the drop in the number of people donating due to the current outbreak of flu.

The Service is therefore once again inviting members of the public who are healthy to please donate blood next Tuesday, the 30th of January, during a session taking place at the Gozo General Hospital.

Donations can be made between 1:00pm and 5:00pm, in the Outpatients Department. “If possible please also encourage others to attend and donate as well.”

The Service is reminding everyone that it is important to always take their Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
