Updated: We are happy to report that Shadow has now been found and on behalf of the Gozo SPCA thank the public for their help.

Shadow, a German-Pointer bitch was being fostered by a Xaghra couple when she ran off last Tuesday into a nearby field.

Unfortunately a local farmer who had just ploughed the field started throwing rocks at her and she has not been seen since.

Shadow is a very timid dog and has been with Gozo SPCA for over four years. She is liver and white flecked with a docked tail and was wearing 2 collars – a red collar with a bone shaped tag with the Gozo SPCA phone number and her name, also a blue and white ‘Blue Cross’ collar.

She will not go near strangers, but if she is seen the public are urged to please call the Gozo SPCA Centre Manager Betty on 99807067 or to email info@spca-gozo.org.
