Police have said that a motorcyclist was grievously injured when he was involved in a collision with a car in Fortunato Mizzi Street, Victoria.

The accident happened at about 5.30pm this afternoon, when the 34-year old man from Victoria, collided on his motorbike with a car which was being driven by a 25-year old Slovakian woman.

The motorcyclist was taken to the Gozo General Hospital, where he was later certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
