A 46 year old woman lost control of her Seat Ibiza car and crashed into a tree, in Rabat Road, Nadur, Gozo, this afternoon.

Police said that there were two passengers in the car, an 81 year old woman from Sannat, who was seriously injured and a 54 year old woman from Nadur. The driver and other passenger were not injured in the accident, which happened at about 4.50pm.

The three women were taken to the Gozo General Hospital.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
