The summer months are now upon us, with many people taking their holidays during the month of August, meaning that there is often a shortage of blood donors.

However this does not stop the constant need for blood and to meet these demands, as well as to help maintain a good blood reserve, the National Blood Donation Service will be holding blood donation sessions in Gozo throughout August

The service is inviting the public on Gozo to donate blood on one of the dates shown below, at the District Health Centre in Xewkija.

The Centre is located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

Sundays – Last registration 1:00pm

5th August from 8: 00am to 1: 00pm

12th August from 8: 00am to 1: 00pm

19th August from 8: 00am to 1: 00pm

Tuesday – Last registration 5:00pm

28th August from 1: 00pm-5: 00pm.

It is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
