Zminijietna has appealed to the Government to introduce measures to improve the standard of living of low-income people and families.
In a statement, the left think tank organisation said, “measures, such as an increase in social benefits and social accommodation, more access to free medicines and a statutory increase in the minimum income can give these people a sense of dignity in society.”
Zminijietna concluded by saying that, “low income families are hardly benefiting from the economic growth that Malta is experiencing today, mainly because of the housing and rent problems.”
