Carnival festivities took place in Xaghra on Sunday, with large crowds turning out for the lively programme of events which were held in Xaghra Square.There were Carnival band marches by the Victory Band of Xaghra in the morning starting from near Ta’ Kola Windmill in Bambina Street and finishing in Victory Square.Visitors enjoyed watching the dance spectaculars, with plenty of colourful costumes and laugher and of course the traditional kukkanja and kumittiva dance.
