Gozitan and Maltese members of the Police Force will be visiting the Ta’ Pinu National Sanctuary next month on the occasion of the Marian Year and the 400th anniversary of the Madonna Ta’ Pinu painting, the work of artist Amadeo Perugino.
This special event is taking place on Saturday, the 1st of June, when there will be a service of Thanksgiving with the Mass led by the Bishop of Gozo Mgr Mario Grech, starting at 6.30pm and which will be broadcast live on television.
The Police Band, accompanied by a choir will animate the singing of the liturgy.
The Gozo Diocese said that all members of the Police Force in Gozo, both active and retired, are invited to participate, together with their families, in this thanksgiving feast.
