The Gozo Tourism Association welcomes today’s introduction of the improved fast ferry winter schedule between the ports of Mgarr and Valletta.

In a statement, the Association said that it has been critical from day one of the previous reduced schedule announcement.

So today, the Association said it “welcomes the efforts and commitment by Government for the introduction of this extended winter schedule.”

The GTA said that it also hopes that the discussions for an agreement on a Public Service Obligation contract between the Government and the EU are positively concluded soon.

“The socio-economic aspirations of Gozo depends totally on its connectivity. Therefore, every effort is to be sought and encouraged to ensure improved and alternative connectivity,” The Gozo Tourism Association said.
