A sobering reflection of a young British Soldier – is the title of a talk being organised by Philosophy Sharing Gozo.

Steve Smith, born in England, engaged at the age of 16 as a soldier and took part in different war conflicts till the age of 30. After all these war experiences, the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder began to surface within him.

The organisers said that during the talk, he will share with those present his philosophical reflections about war; how these shocking experiences affect his daily life; and how his way in being in the world has been totally conditioned by the trauma of war.

Philosophy Sharing Gozo is inviting everyone to join them in an informal setting on a very interesting subject and with a witness of war. “It is a very good opportunity to learn more about what´s going on around us and how does it affect human behaviour.”

This event is open to anyone who wishes to participate. The talk will be delivered in English, entrance is free, and no reservations are required.

The talk is on Friday, the 7th of June, starting at 7.30pm, at ArtHall, which is located at 8, Triq Agius De Soldanis, Victoria.
