John Gilbert, President of the Rotary Club of Gozo, presented a €500 Vocational Grant to Krista Grech at Kinetika Gymnasium and Fitness Centre in Victoria.
Krista is a student and is completing a Certified Personal Fitness Course, and Rotary Club of Gozo said that they are very proud to have been able to help Krista and wish her the best of luck with her chosen career.
The Rotary Gozo Vocational Fund was established by Rotary Club Gozo (with the support of the Ministry of Gozo) to assist young people in their career development.
They explained that the Fund seeks to help young people gain additional skills, training and/or equipment in support of their future employment. The maximum per person is €500 and this can go towards equipment and/or training.
It is aimed at under 25s who are full-time residents of Gozo, in the hope that they will use their skills to enhance the community here.
The scheme has three Trustees, being John Modd; John Gilbert (Rotary President) and a representative from the Ministry of Tourism in Gozo.
Applications can be made online or forms downloaded from The Rotary Club of Gozo website: www.rotarygozo.org
