The Ministry of Education and Employment has said that it would like to clarify that students from the Primary School in Victoria, Gozo will not be transferred to another school.
In a statement, the Ministry confirmed that the proposal that had been made for the children in Victoria to be moved into different schools will not be carried out
The Ministry added that it had continued to increase funding for the Victoria Primary School, including for maintenance so that it can take place on a regular basis.
“This year there was also investment made in a new outdoor facility, turf in the courtyard and a security system in the school,” the Ministry said.
“Almost two years ago a site was identified in Victoria where a new Primary School will be built and the Foundation for Tomorrow’s Schools within the Ministry, had submitted the application to the relevant authorities,” it said. “Once the necessary permits are received work will start immediately,” the Ministry added.
The Ministry for Education concluded by saying that it has also planned a meeting for parents and teachers about the project for the new school.
