This week Xewkija is celebrating the Feast of St. John the Baptist, and this year the traditional horse races were held in the cool of the evening at the Xhajma Racetrack, in front of a large crowd.

The Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana, said that this had been made possible through an investment made by the Ministry for Gozo to the racetrack so that it can be used for evening racing

Dr Caruana gave thanks to all those who cooperated in this initiative.
