A 35-year man from North Macedonia has appeared in the Gozo Court where he was remanded in custody after being was accused of assaulting a woman.
He was charged with assaulting, slightly injuring and threatening a 36-year old woman. The incident happened shortly after midnight on Monday at a residence in Victoria, Police said.
The man pleaded not guilty to the charges.
