Young students will be perforating, digging and making holes to explore the randomness of gesture in mixed media, sculpture and installation with the well-known French artist Dominique de Beir and artist and art educator Victor Agius.

The organisers are looking for 8 students from Gozo, aged 7-9 years to participate, on Friday, the 16th of August, between 10am and 5pm, at 11 Mongur Street, Gharb, Telephone: 21560016.

The students will be invited to contribute towards the creation of the installation of Dominique de Beir for the show “French Attendees: Idea(L)” in Valletta Contemporary.

This creative workshop will enable the participants to be introduced to a fresh visual and tactile art vocabulary which also links with braille writing.

They will also search, improvise and create instruments. Co-create an artwork for the show by using expressive gestural mark making and painting while perforating the material to realise an art installation.
