A 42-year old motorcyclist was seriously injured in a collision with a car in Ghajnsielem, Gozo, earlier this morning.

Police said that the accident happened at around 5.45am in Mgarr Road, when the motorcyclist, who is from Xaghra, was in a collision with a car being driven by a 67-year old woman from Ghajnsielem.

The man was taken to the Gozo General Hospital for further treatment, where he was later certified as suffering from serious injuries. There is no information on whether the car driver sustained any injuries.

Police investigations are still on going.
