“The frequent number of accident, including in Gozo, means that the need for blood never stops,” the National Blood Transfusion has said.

Faced with this reality, the Service is calling on the public in Gozo – if their health permits – to please donate blood next Tuesday, the 27th of August.

Donations can be made at the District Health Centre in Xewkija. The session will be 1:00pm to 5:00pm (last registration until 5:00pm).

It is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
