Throughout the month of September there will be the opportunity to donate blood during a number of sessions taking place in Gozo.

Organised by the National Blood Transfusion Service, the opening session will be next Sunday, the 1st of September.

The public on Gozo are being invited to help meet the ever-growing demand for blood by making a donation on one of the five dates shown below.

Donations can be made at the District Health Centre in Xewkija, located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

Sundays – last registration 1:00pm

1st September from 8: 00am to 1:00pm

15th September from 8: 00am to 1:00pm

29th September from 8: 00am to 1:00pm

Tuesdays – last registration 5:00pm

10th September from 1:00pm-5:00pm

24th September from 1:00pm-5:00pm.

A reminder also that there is a chance to donate blood tomorrow, Tuesday, the 27th of August at Xewkija.

The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
