Over 100 activities spread across the island are planned for Christmas in Gozo 2019. Minister for Gozo Justyne Caruana launched this year’s programme for Christmas and the New Year.

This sixth year of festive activities organised by the Ministry for Gozo, will be take place across the island of Gozo between Saturday, the 30th of November Sunday the 5th of January 2020.

“The programme – the choice for Christmas is Gozo – contains a myriad of festivities and special events with something to suit everyone’s taste, taking place in a beautiful and friendly environment,” said Dr Caruana.

The Minister explained that the programme was designed by a dedicated team and includes the celebrations for New Year. Different attractions have been introduced and organised with the involvement from the Government, as well as the private and voluntary sectors, explained the Minister.

“This programme is realised on the traditions and the true values of an authentic Christmas” said the Minister. Adding that the Ministry had continued to build on the way that Christmas is celebrated in Gozo, where our families maintain the traditions that are enjoyed by all.

Dr Caruana stressed that, “through this Christmas programme we must valorise everything Gozo – traditions, typical local products and the great cultural talent we have on this island.”

Dr Caruana thanked all those who gave their support to this initiative, and welcomed everyone who will be visiting the island for the unique experience of Christmas in Gozo, with a programme that combines both religious and cultural traditions – that are loved by one and all.
