A totally new rock orchestral production is coming to the Astra Theatre in Victoria, Gozo, over the festive season

Christmas Rocks the Astra and The Beatles – second edition performed by the Gozo Youth Orchestra under the direction of Mro Joseph Grech

The orchestra said that the production is taking place with the cooperation of 7SPP and the support of Festivals Malta and Christmas in Gozo.

Cash and Band will joining the orchestra, together with a number of accomplished soloists, local musicians and vocalists, Danny Magro (guitar), Kurt Cassar, Ludwig Galea, Cheryl Balzan and Sarah Bonnici. The Gozo Community Choir and Piccole Stelle Choir will also take part.

The programme for the evening will include classic Beatles numbers and some well-known Festive classics, which will get a little rock treatment.

The objective of the producers is to get the Christmas Season rolling with a Christmas party atmosphere.

The audience will be actively encouraged to join in on all the classic choruses. It’s a concert that all the family can enjoy, so keep the date free – Friday, the 27th of December, starting at 8pm.
