Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, accompanied by his wife Michelle, was in Sannat this morning as part of his “farewell tour,” where he spoke to Labour supporters.
Speaking about Gozo, Dr Muscat thanked the local businesses and families for their support, as well as Gozitan Labour MPs and the Minister for Gozo. Adding that there is also a first Gozitan MEP.
Muscat stressed that there had been and will be, “unprecedented investment and work towards jobs for Gozitans in Gozo.”
He also mentioned the fact that Gozo has a centre for innovation, creating employment towards the future of Gozo.
The Prime Minister stated “that one of the top medical schools opened in Gozo rather than Malta,” saying that this was a “political goodwill” decision, adding that they made the choice for this investment in Gozo.
He went on to say that he was certain whoever came after him would also insist on attracting more investment to Gozo.
