Bank of Valletta has said that it will be upgrading its IT systems and will be offering limited services as from Friday, the 27th of December.

The Bank will be closed for business on Monday, the 30th, Tuesday, the 31st of December and Wednesday, the 1st of January 2020 (Public Holiday). It will resume operations and banking services as from 8.30am on Thursday, the 2nd of January.

The Bank said that over this period, customers will be able to continue using their BOV Cards and BOV Pay in the normal manner in retail stores, restaurants and all other outlets, locally, abroad and online. Cash withdrawals and balance enquiries will also remain available from all BOV ATMs.

Customers may also withdraw cash from non-BOV ATMs including locally and abroad (normal charges apply). The Customer Service Centre will be available for reporting lost or stolen cards and card fraud.

However, all other services including payments, BOV Internet Banking and BOV Mobile Banking will not be available during the upgrade period as from the following cut-off times:IT Systems upgrade by BOV will mean limited services availableBank of Valletta said that it encourages its customers to carry out the banking transactions they require for this period by Friday 27th December as per cut-off times above, including transfers to their card linked accounts to ensure that they have access to enough funds throughout the upgrade period.

It explained that the upgrade of the Bank’s IT systems is a major process that requires the temporary suspension of normal business operations.

Bank of Valletta apologised for this temporary interruption of its services and for any inconvenience caused to customers.

Does anyone know what the BOV is doing to the overseas investers. We got numerous letters to fill out or our accounts would be closed down. After submitting these forms 3 times with banking and personal details, accounts have been closed down and money isn’t forthcoming into Australian bank accounts even tho the details have been given. Have done numerous emails and registered letters to no avail to the two names listed on forms for assistance. Even with phone calls cannot get any satisfaction. This has been going on from May escalated in September. Money has just disappeared from our account.
I hope I can get some answers.
