Giving blood is a display of solidarity with those who are less fortunate, it is also a gift of life.

With the festive season upon us the National Blood Transfusion Service in inviting the public in Gozo to show their solidarity for this cause in a special donation session this weekend.

This Saturday, the 21st of December, there will be the opportunity to give blood at the Xewkija Blood donation Centre.

Donations can be made between 1.00pm and 5.00 (last registration is 5.00pm)

The Donation Centre is located in Triq tall- Hamrija, between the Primary School and the Bocci Club.

The next chance to donate blood in Gozo will be on Sunday, the 5th of January, between 8am and 1pm.

The Service reminds everyone that it is important to always take your Identity Card, or Driving License or Maltese Passport and to drink plenty of water beforehand.
