More effective HPV Vaccine now being offered at Health Centres

Department of Health is now providing a new, more effective HPV Vaccine, against cancer of the cervix.
Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Christ Fearne, explained that the previous vaccine was only affective on two types of the Human Pailloma Virus.
He added that, the vaccine will given free of charge to girls aged 12-years and over at all Health Centres and is affective on nine types of this sexually transmitted virus.
Dr Fearne said that, this vaccine is one of a series of new free of charge medicines introduced by the Government over the last months, including prostate, drugs against heart disease and osteoporosis.
