BOV GFA Player of the Month for November has been announced as Jose Carlos Nogueira Junior of Xewkija Tigers.

Better known as Juninho, the Xewkija forward joined the Tigers this season following a career across Bulgaria, Armenia and Turkey.

The GFA said that the 34-year old is a very versatile attacker and also very effective in creating attacking opportunities from the wings.

Juninho was the main protagonist in Xewkija’s 8-1 routing of Munxar Falcons in the BOV GFA Cup preliminary round, where finding themselves a goal under, Juninho scored the equaliser and set up a number of his team’s conversions.

He also distinguished himself in Xewkija’s 2-0 win over Xaghra United in the BOV GFA First Division.

Horace Laudi, Chief Officer at Bank of Valletta presented Juninho with his commemorative trophy.

The player chose the Arka Foundation to benefit from the donation associated with this award.
