Young Parliamentarians – is a programme run by Agenzija Zghazagh. It opened with students from the Gozo College Secondary School and St Thomas Moore Senior school in Zejtun.

The programme is for students in Years 9, 10, and 11, and is designed to give participants the chance of representing their school as its Young Parliamentarians team.

Agenzija Zghazagh explained that the programme is taken in phases, which includes training in schools, workshops in Parliament and an #ejjewniddibattu Final Challenge, taking the form of a debate competition between the participating school teams.

Young Parliamentarians is one of Agenzija Zghazagh’s civic education initiatives, which it said is aimed at the development of responsible citizenship and fostering of democratic environments.
