Chris Said, Opposition spokesperson for Gozo and Constitutional Reform, has called on the Ministry for Gozo to find a solution to the plight of some 180 trees destined to be destroyed in the Victoria- Marsalforn road project, as highlighted by FAA today.
“This is another environmental disfigurement similar to that happening in the Central Link project, but this time in Gozo,” Dr Said added.
Dr Said stressed that, “this is the first test for the new Minister for Gozo and the Opposition calls on him to take immediate steps to stop this destruction and to find alternative solutions”
The Opposition also called on the Government to say whether an application was submitted to the Planning Authority and Environment Authority for work on the Marsalforn Road, and if not, then the reason why.

The bid meeting in Davos on climate change agreed to plant trees not chop them down. Please plant even more trees.
