The Cliff Barton Memorial Race was won by Steve Xuereb. Scott Donovan, the GMA training coach, presented the trophies sponsored by Vince Grima at Grima Service Station & Grima Fuel Supplies to the winners.

Donavan donated Wulf caps and gloves to the lucky riders and said that the twinning between Gozo and the UK will certainly continue in the future and those riders who work the hardest at their motocross skills will have a chance to ride with the best in England.

Xuereb commended Croxon, who usually rides 450cc bikes, for his professionalism and pointed out that he is not used to the size of the Gozitan track, which makes riding twice as hard.British rider Paul Croxon joins local riders in Gozo Motocross ChampionshipHe urged Steve Xuereb and Robert Spiteri to work hard because the terrain and size of British tracks are nowhere near local ones. British and European competitions house thirty or more riders at one go.

Gozo Motocross Association thanked CVC for their constant support by filming Sunday’s event which will later feature in SportGhawdex on TVM2, presented by John Busuttil, every Monday at 7pm.

The quarter-finals of the Gozo Motocross Championship 2020 will be held on the 8th of March.
