Coronavirus: No cases so far in Gozo, all tests have proved negativeSo far no cases of Covid-19 (coronavirus) have been found so far in Gozo and all tests for the virus have proved negative, The Ministry for Gozo said in a statement on Saturday.

The Ministry reiterated that anyone experiencing symptoms should stay at home, call 111 and follow the instructions given to them by the Public Health Department.

The Gozo General Hospital is working together with the Department of Public Health to ensure that all measures being taken in Malta are also applied in Gozo, it added

Gozo Channel is taking all necessary precautions to stop the spread of this virus, the Ministry said, including the installation of “a substantial number of sanitisers in terminals and on ferries. Directions have also been given not to operate the air conditioners on ferries and to leave all outside doors open for air and natural ventilation.”

The Ministry concluded that “in the event that a Gozo patient tests positive, a protocol has already been prepared so that the patient can be transported in safety to Malta, both for the patient, the staff, and the public.
