Gozo Alive 2020 has been launched by Minister for Gozo Clint Camilleri, with the theme this year – We Create, You Celebrate.

He explained that one of the objectives of Gozo Alive, which will be held in June, is to give an opportunity to Gozitan and Maltese artists to showcase their talents and be part of this event.

Over the past few weeks a call was issued for those artists who wished to participate in the 3-day event, which attracted a large response and the organising team are now putting the programme together

The Minister explained that as the Pope’s visit to Malta and Gozo would have fallen on one of the days of Gozo Alive, new dates have now been announced – Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday the 7th of June and will give stakeholders enough time to organise for this popular weekend in Gozo, which attracts thousands of locals and tourists.

The Friday programme will be focusing on activities in Santa Lucija. Saturday and Sunday will be all around Gozo, Saturday will be the main day with a multitude of activities and the participation of Gozitan and Maltese artists, as well as an international guest, who will be announced in the coming days.

Minister Camilleri said that Gozo Alive will have something to interest everyone: families, young people, the elderly, children and those who love art, music, photography, history, vintage cars, fashion, dance, folk and much more.
