The Ministry for Gozo in a statement has said that, as advised by Prof. Gauci today, a Gozitan who works in Malta has tested positive for Covid-19.

“As has been stated from the beginning, and in accordance with all the plans that had been put in place, this patient was taken to hospital in Malta by ambulance on a Gozo Channel ferry without any other passengers.

The Ministry for Gozo reiterated that this will be the case when needed, and the Ministry will continue to take all the necessary precautions.

“This is a challenge for everyone throughout the country, which we will meet if everyone follows instructions that are given by the professionals,” the Ministry said.
